How Monkey D. Luffy Will Beat Kaido

Monkey D. Luffy is the protagonist of the One Piece series. He aims to be the Pirate King. Luffy has risen from a mere nobody to one of the most feared Pirates in the world of One Piece. After the two year timeskip, he also entered the New World, and is now targeting big names. Luffy formed an alliance with Trafalgar Law at Punk Hazard, and decided to take down Yonko Kaido of the Hundred Beasts, who himself is described as a monster.

Firstly, Kaido himself is said to be Immortal. He cannot die, and he’s been annoyed with it to the point that trying to commit suicide has become a hobby to him.He has been sentenced to death several times, but he broke free each time. Hell, recently, he jumped from 10,000 meters in the sky, and he didn’t even get one scar. Just a little pain the head, that’s all. But, I guess that is something expected of a Yonko. He’s one of the 4 most powerful pirates in the New World, and those are the feats to back that up. Luffy will be up against a monster.

When you think about it, there’s barely anything that Luffy can do to Kaido. As he is now, Luffy cannot defeat his Commanders, let alone Kaido himself. So what exactly is Luffy doing, walking towards an enemy he cannot defeat?

Well, I believe a power up is long due for Luffy now. We’ve seen Tank Man already at Whole Cake Island. Luffy has more forms of Gear 4th, that are unrevealed.

We might be getting a glimpse of those forms soon. Better yet, Luffy might even pull of Gear 4th, of Awakening in the battle against Kaido. That’s definitely a huge boost. So, Luffy might be top commander level with these powers, but there’s still some gap between him and a Yonko.

That’s exactly where the concept of the Alliance comes in. Luffy will not be fighting Kaido alone. He has Trafalgar Law with him.

If Luffy gets a power up as huge as Gear 5th, expect Law to get a similar power up as well. Besides, law wields the Ope Ope no Mi, which might give them some way to get around the Immortality barrier of Kaido.

There’s also Eustass Kid, who is a prisoner of Kaido right now. Basil Hawkins, and X Drake might join the fight against Kaido, and Apoo might betray him at the last moment. This way, half of the Worst Generation will be up against Kaido, and strong as he is, I do not think Kaido will win against so many powerful pirates at once.
