The Most Emotional moments of One Piece
I was watching these One Piece Amv's on YouTube and was hit by this serious wave of nostalgia. A sudden rush of emotion that made me remember all those moments and events that really hit you, stick with you and define both the series and you as a fan of it. If after watching all these episodes you look back you'll find be amazed how much the series has grown and you along with it.
13) The Flag of Conviction
This was a really inspiring moment for me. It really defined Luffy's character and resolve. The way he says that this is a flag you devote your life too. It's a symbol of conviction and that's why you will never destroy it, was a real awe inspiring moment. It really defined what a true pirate was.
Ever since then I always smile when I see the StrawHats Jolly Roger.
12)You are my Nakama
This was another real emotional moment. It really showed that the crew was willing to goto any length to save their nakama. (Though it has a better example ). The way Luffy wins Nami's trust by giving her his most prized possession really shows that he was willing to trust her and she should do the same and believe in him.
11)Nakama Forever
The Straw Hat's farewell to Vivi was really emotional. The way they told her that no matter where they go and no matter how far they are they would always be friends was a great moment that you can do nothing but smile.
10)The Return of Sabo
Honestly words cannot express how happy I felt when Sabo walked towards Luffy. Out of all the people in the world it was freaking Sabo. Like Luffy I didn't want Ace's fruit to goto anyone . Oda chose the perfect person to carry on Ace's will, Kudos to him. When Luffy finally realized who it was, my eyes got all blurry. Wiped it off though xD.
9)Zoro's Pledge
When you open an Anime with scenes like this in the early arcs it really sets the bar. After losing badly to Mihawk Zoro vows to never lose again until he beats Mihawk. This really defined Zoro's character and resolve. I had huge respect for Zoro after this.
This is actually the only scene where we see Zoro cry after growing up. He always puts on the tough badass guy act
8)The Strawhat Reunion
This was a moment we all were waiting for , After 100+ episodes without the crew . We were waiting for this moment when everyone came back together .The badass Pacifista scenes before shows that we could really expect more from the new and improved crew.
Luffy's redeclaration that he was gonna be the Pirate King to Rayleigh along with Rayleigh telling him to rise to top made this a great moment where you could do nothing but grin.
If you gave me a flag I would probably run around saying 'Go Mugiwara no Ichimi' xD.
7)Robin's Survival
Robin's past really got to me. The way she had to survive by betraying and being betrayed by everyone. On the run from the world at the age of 8 is really hard. Everything she loved was destroyed by Buster Call. How was a child supposed to take all of that? However Saulo was the small glimmer of hope to Robin when he tells her that there is no one truly alone on this world and definitely she would find people who care about her made me smile.
However when Robin escaped and tried to console herself 'dereshishi' really did it for me. I couldn't hold back my tears.
6)I still have my Nakama
Luffy's rage and denial was really hard to watch. He tried so hard, did everything he could but still couldn't save the person he wanted to. I had to avert my gaze often to keep myself straight. When Jimbei finally puts him straight and asks him 'what he still has left?' It was such an emotional scene as he finally finds hope again.
5)The Defeat of the StrawHats
Till this point we know Luffy as the fun loving optimistic guy, however he gets a real taste of despair here. Watching Luffy hit himself and accept his weakness at not being able to protect anyone is another scene that you can never watch with a straight face.
4)The Enies Lobby Standoff
I cried like a kid at this scene. This was one of the most emotional and one of the most epic scenes to me. This type of Idealized friendship really gets to me. Its probably why I love shounen anime. This scene really showed us what the StrawHats were made of. When you watch a crew goto all extents, all lengths to save one crew member. You simply can't help but feel so much respect towards them. They were willing to declare war on the World. When Luffy asks Robin to state her true wish and she respond by asking them to take her out to sea with them, I was so moved .
I was like Franky crying after this scene xD.
3)The Arrival/Funeral of Going Merry
This was such an emotional heart wrenching moment. When the StrawHats escaped Enies Lobby shouting out. 'To the ocean,We have one Nakama left'. I couldn't help but get all teary eyed. However soon after the Going Merry had its final moments above the ocean.
I tried so much to console myself saying it was a ship. But no that dosent work. Merry was a nakama. Watching Luffy apologize to Merry for everything he had done and broke on Merry and a the damage the crew had caused it. You can't help but cry at this scene . I've probably become really weak to holding back to One Piece since Enies Lobby.
2)Trafalgar.D.Water Law's Freedom
This was another emotional moment . Law crying in the box as he heard Cora-San getting shot was really hard to handle. Cora-San's final monologue to Law 'Walk Law, far far away, Nothing will bind you anymore, Not the border of the city, Not your life span, Nothing will restrict you anymore, You are now truly Free' as law cries out loudly was again an emotional moment. Freedom means a lot to me personally so this really moved me to tears..
1)The Passing of Portgas.D.Ace
Till date I cannot watch this scene with a straight face. Ace was one of my absolute favorite characters. The terror on Luffy's face as he sacrificed himself to save him. It really broke Luffy and me. As Ace spoke his final words I was already crying. He thanked Luffy for everything and his line 'Thank you for loving someone like me' was just too hard for me handle. Atleast Ace died without regrets and with a smile on his face.
R.I.P Ace
Honestly when I look back now. There are so many things that have defined both the series and me as a fan of it. Bottom line is that I truly love One Piece and I will stick by it to the end.
Big thanks to Oda sensei for his work.
Thanks for reading
